Stanley

| Singapore is having a new Auditor-General (AG)... apparently the Constitution was changed in the late-1990s such that one can only be AG for a term of not more than 6 years...
i was working in the Auditor-General's Office (AGO) from July 1996 to December 2001... when the current AG was heading the Organ of State... how time flies... since then i have been on three other jobs, excluding the relief teaching i had in September to October 2003... | comments: Leave a comment |
| my first official entry in 2007, since my Taipei and KL trips...
Thursday (4 Jan) - met up with Arun who was back for the Christmas and New Year holidays... gave me the idea of visiting Sydney in early March 2007 for Mardi Gras...
Friday (5 Jan) - my ex-boss farewell dinner at Boat Quay Penny Black... it has been more than a month of planning and coordinating... luckily everything went smoothly... Cynthia from Penny Black truly made sure that everything is fine during the whole event... appreciates her... and they actually do not have service charge...
Saturday (6 Jan) - went for my first gym class of 2007... Bodybalance @ Raffles Place conducted by my all-time favourite instructor, Wai Han... ran on the threadmill for 30 minutes and covered 5km... time to shed those weights from the two trips...
Saturday (6 Jan) - met Shaun for The Queen... Helen Mirren was superb... the struggles the Queen has to go through for what she believes in is truly amazing... cannot blame her for being such a cold and unfeeling person for most of the time...
Saturday (6 Jan) - had a good chat with Shaun at Coffee Club... managed to catch the last train to Ang Mo Kio and possibly the last bus 132 home... one of my resolutions for 2007 is to save up... was on the net until 4am... chatted on IRC... had cam sex and stuff... why am i so fucking horny?? i wonder...
Sunday (7 Jan) - woke up at around 11am... had breakfast and continued to sleep until 1pm... met up with Kerry @ Parkway Parade at 3:30pm... shopped for his pots and plates, cups and spoons... went over to his studio apartment that he has moved into recently... nice cosy place... much better than the old Tiong Bahru colonial flats... dinner was at some Hong Kong cafe along East Coast Road... nice food... the weekend ended with dessert (gelato) at a friend's shop, Fresco... nice place to hang out in... but thought it was a little pricey... but probably the price includes the sofas, boreardgames, etc... | comments: 13 comments or Leave a comment |
| with this kind of resolutions, i might as well be dead...
In 2007, mousez72 resolves to... Take evening classes in karaoke. Get back in contact with some old movies. Give up reading. Pay for my tattoos on time. Give up mp3s. Start a music fund.

| EVA Airways flight BR226 to Taipei has been delayed by one hour... the new departure time will be at 2:10pm Singapore time... estimated arrival in Taipei is 6:30pm Taipei time... we apologise for the delay and for any inconveniences caused...
my boss is flying by SQ... no delay...
now we know... | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |
| was packing my luggage from 2am to 4am... mainly clothings for the 8 days i'm gonna be in Taipei... of course plus the 10 packets of coffee my student's mum wanted... din think i will become kopi-soh... hahahaha...
woke up at around 7:30am with a tummy ache... pre-flight jitters...
typing this entry before i go buy breakfast for mum and myself... then my uncle will send me to Terminal 2... think will snore on the plane...
forgot to print the gay listing from Utopia Asia... last minute took my dad's Sony Cybershot to take pictures of the websites of all the gay saunas and massages... thank goodness the 5.1 megapixel camera produces clear images... hahahaha...
no notebook... no updates... see ya in 9 days' time...

| Friday night was at David's birthday bash... great to see so many familiar faces... at least put me more at ease... nice to catch up with them... met a couple of new faces... but didn't chat much with them... it's me lor... not comfortable with strangers...
Saturday rotted at home... was supposed to head back office to clear some stuff... but too tired after last night... met up with Vincent for Corrinne May's Christmas concert... mostly Christmas songs... kinda boring after a while... her voice was good though... somehow the choir was like a waste... didn't hear much of them... went for drinks after that... and took a bus home... save money lah...
Sunday met up with my mates to KL for a get-together to discuss the itinerary and stuff... we've decided more or less on what we're gonna do... KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Chinatown, massage, eat, shop, eat, shop, eat, shop...
oh ya... did i say i've cut my hair really short (again)?? at the barber downstairs... guess i'm just not ready to spend $30 on a haircut... it's just me... this episode has once again confirmed our differences... sigh...
been listening to 石欣卉 - 你给的 on my ipod and on my notebook... makes me wanna cry... pre-flight syndrome...
another three crazy work days in the office ahead of me... then it's off to Taipei... and after that Kuala Lumpur...
hang in there, Dave... | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| 8:15pm... while i was busy clearing my work in the office, received a call from Vince to go drinking... wanted to do Mox but it was closed on Monday nights... ended up in Legend... nice cosy place... though some of the patrons sang off-key...
David, Edric and Norman joined us after their steamboat dinner...
a good break from work on a Monday night to relax my tense spirits... | comments: Leave a comment |
| finally, the KL trip was confirmed... all thanks to Vince... *muacks muacks*
kinda draining for me co-ordinating the trip... especially when i have been busy in the office clearing stuff before my super duper long break from next Thursday... we were so worried about not able to get hotels... tried Capitol, Federal, Royale Bintang, Berjaya Times Square, Impiana KLCC Hotel and Spa... and finally we managed to have Boulevard Hotel... not the most ideal but it's next to the HUGE mid-valley megamall... mai hiam liao lah...
so guys, you know what to do when we are in KL ya?? let me have all the "beng-looking-cum-tattoo-covered-cum-highlighted-hair" KL boys... and leave me alone in the room for my rendezvous... i need to break the dry spell in KL... hahahaha...
my schedule from next week is as follows: 21 Dec to 29 Dec - Xmas in Taipei 30 Dec to 02 Jan - New Year in KL | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| year-end coming... gotta clear all my rewards points before they expire...
got $30 Robinsons shopping voucher from my Raffles City INClub thingy...
redeemed a bottle of Ultra Mega Gold from GNC...
still gotta redeem my SAFRA points... and OCBC$... UOB UNI$ can bring forward... so it's ok... | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| was lazing at home from 9am to about 1pm... it's Sunday and yet i was awake by 8:30am... time to do something about my biological clock...
met Shaun and Kenneth for some shopping... tea was at Central HK Cafe at Takashimaya... my favourite HK cafe in Singapore now... hahahaha... gave them the Xmas gifts i bought on Friday night...
browsing through Takashimaya, Paragon, Aussino, Centrepoint Robinsons and the new wing for ideas... luckily my shopping was completed a week ago... this time it's just to keep them company... end result, ZERO... they bought nothing... but at least they now know what is available there...
the new Centrepoint GAP has a different collection as the one in Vivocity... much lesser choices...
we had more tea at the Cafe Revive in Marks & Spencer... and it was time to part... Kenneth headed back to the East while Shaun & i decided to have dinner in Bishan...
home sweet home after that to clear my room a little... luckily the leakage from the air-con the night before didn't do too much damage... hehe... | comments: Leave a comment |
| was back in the office from 9am for a sharing session with the Chairman... apparently it's meant for those "high-potential" staff... left the office at 1:45pm...
headed home to have lunch and slept for a short while, before meeting Kerry and Shaun for dinner at Paragon... after that we attended Sandy Lam's concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium... this is the first time i am so close to the stage for a concert...
great music, great voice, great showmanship, great dancers, great crowd, great production...
somehow, what's lacking are the emotions... her last concert in 2002 was filled with feelings and emotions... this time i couldn't feel that... although i was totally moved when she sang Almost Over You... powerful rendition by the diva...
the night was definitely worth more than the S$150 i've paid for the ticket...
after the concert, we went to Coffee Club at Orchard for coffee and dessert... was loking at the Lillian Too 365 Feng Shui Tips book Jason gave me for my birthday... so much to change in my room!! we had so much fun just thinking about what we are going to do about our houses, rooms, office, etc...
below is the track listing of the night's songs... and for more pictures, videos, reviews of the concert, please visit: Sandy Lam Website

got three of the small Ugly Dolls from Anthropology... one for Shaun, one for Kenneth and one for myself... Robin Goh was serving me in the shop... how nice... he's so cute!! got the dolls gift-wrapped... the shopkeepers were all so friendly... i love Anthropology... but prices are kinda steep...
Precious Thots was having 15% discount storewide... couldn't resist... bought a mouse musical thingy... i have four at home now... will post a picture some time...

at the stroke of midnight, birthday greetings started to come in through SMS...
first was my colleague, SYL... then it was Steve, followed by Kenneth, Shaun and Jason... even, Ashok, one of my ex-student from Beatty Secondary where i was relief teaching back in 2003 SMSed me at 12:15am... another of my ex-student, Afiq, also SMSed me in the morning... so touched that they remembered...
in the morning, there was Kit, Christina (HR girl from office), Kelvin Ong and Kelvin Ho (the deafies who taught me the basic sign language and whom i used to blade with), Sophia (an ex-staff) and Hwee Kheng (ex-colleague), Siang Leng and Lik Kiam (ex-colleagues), my dearest Sarah, Melvin and Dominic and David (from LJ), Triston, Angel (my cousin) and Wei Fern (colleague)...
SMSes came also from Arun (who is in Sydney Australia... managed to chat for a short while with him... we'll meet up in January 2007 when he is back for the holidays) and KC (who is in KL, Malaysia)...
finally, belated birthday wishes from Ming and Jiunn Wei, both ex-colleagues from different companies...
mum came into my room to pass me the traditional ang pao...
we left the house for our shopping at around 2:30pm, just after the rain has stopped... first stop was lunch at Central HK Cafe... the best HK cafe in Singapore... shopping at Takashimaya was a disappointment cos the Christmas fair starts the next day, 1 December 2006... darn!!
next stop was Plaza Singapura... mum wanted to check out Daiso (the Always $2 shop)... had great fun going through the stuff... after that it was Aussino for their sale... 3 bedsheet sets for the price of 2... Carrefour was next... just to shop for some groceries...
finally, both mum and i bought a glass crystal pendant at the stall next to the escalator on the ground floor... dinner was at Wah Noogee with my family... nice food as usual... and great to have the whole family eating at one table... forgot to take a family photo... hmmm...
( Central HK Cafe pics )
thank you so much to all who have made this 34th birthday such a memorable one... i love all of you... | comments: Leave a comment |
| this post is long overdue...
my staff celebrated my birthday for me at around 3pm... they bought balloons... and of all colours, PINK... they know me so well... and guess what they bought me... this cute novelty PINK g-string, with a pig head in front for the crotch... and a novelty condom... so that was their impression of me... hahahaha...
i had to ask Kenneth to come fetch me at Raffles City so that i didn't have to lug the balloons around... kinda embarrassing...
met Kenneth and Shaun to book our KL trip... hopefully there are hotels available... so looking forward to the trip...
after that it was Kok Lok noodle dinner in Chinatown... and ah balling at Food Street... chatted so much... until around 10:30pm...

| each time i cancel my call diverts, my phone will ring immediately... and it's usually from an unknown number now... and it will call again and again until i activate the call divert once again... after that i will start to receive SMSes from the stalker... numerous SMSes...
called M1 this morning to find out what i can do... options are: 1. change my number (M1 will waive the fees)... 2. lodge a police report and send it to M1 who will send a warning letter to the stalker...
will be booking my KL trip at Golden Mile this evening and will go lodge a police report at the Neighbourhood Police Post there... and see how things go... | comments: 11 comments or Leave a comment |
| met Steve, Daniel and Tianwei for dinner at Plaza Hotel... they've changed the menu for the international buffet... was greatly disappointed when there was no longer roti prata and drunken prawns... instead they had some chicken and fried hokkien noodles... :-(
but of course, the evening was still a great one for we had fun updating each other on the latest as well as sharing and gossiping about everything and anything... from Sexpo to facials... from Tokyo to Bangkok... from KL to Taipei... and before we knew it, it was close to 11pm...
thanks for a wonderful evening and the Nike polo t-shirt... and thanks, Steve, for the ride home... | comments: Leave a comment |
| met Jason for dinner at Aerin's, Raffles City... forgot to take pictures of the food... but he had the chicken in tomato sauce and i had the fish & chips... both came in quite big portions... we had the calamari for appetisers that was pathetically few...
chatted quite a bit... and Jason expressed interest in the KL trip from 30 Dec 2006 to 2 Jan 2007... 4 days 3 nights at Capitol Hotel is about S$266 per person... probably will go down to book later this evening...
if all goes as planned, it's gonna be the first time that i am spending Christmas and New Year's Day away in foreign countries... yeah!!
Jason refused to accept my treat... saying that it's bad luck for him to accept a birthday boy's treat... hmmm... wonder how true it that...
thanx Jason, for the book and for the company... we should do mahjong again, but definitely not in KL... ;-p | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

the only problem now is that i don't have a place to stay for 23 and 24 December 2006... the last resort will be to stay in my student's apartment up in the mountain but gotta trouble his mum to drive us there... which is not very nice lah...

after dinner, we went to Kenneth's new place in Eunos... nicely done up... i like the cosy study room... with the TV, books, music, CDs and couch... nice... Shaun and i were busy leafing through the photo books on travelling, Nelson Mandela, etc... had a good laugh at Kenneth's childhood pictures... so eng-bay... my type of guy... slim slim... coloured hair... hahahaha...
